Hello everyone, Im new to the boards but found some good information on here. Im not actually a broker but my husband is, and Im the techie and researcher... He is considering getting involved as a partner with a fellow broker opening a net branch for U.S. Mortgage, I believe the program is called Branchlink. Has anyone heard of them, and/or do any of you work with them? I would like to get some more information about the pros and cons of this company, and would like to know if anyone has any warnings about pitfalls. We are in Maryland. Thanks for any help you can provide and I apologize in advance if this was discussed previously, as I could not find anything relevant in the search for US Mortgage.

It is that time of year again.

Employers often decide to either shut down their company, or lay off employees around the holidays. I expect we will see more of that this year, than normal Retailers are discounting inventory very early this year, while I expect some retailers could be doing this, do their own limited cash and credit, I suspect other retailers, know many layoffs are on the way, and folks that just lost their jobs, wont be spending as much. Given the recent lean years in the mortgage business, I expect a higher than normal number of layoffs this holiday season. So my advice is, be very frugal this holiday season, _if you hold any substantial doubts about your employers future.
